421 Days

Today is a big day, even though; I hit my 1 year mark January 23, today is our official Birthday Celebration for our local chapter of AA. We will have a pot luck dinner followed by a guest speaker then it's the giving of medallions. We also get a cake :) I am looking forwrd to spending this evening with my fellow alcoholics who have reached their one or more year marks. Today is the day we get to celebrate our sobriety.

Right now I am doing some weekend chores and making my dish to take to the celebration. I am making Hop n John its my sponsors favorite. After that I will get myself put together make Mom some dinner get her settled in then head into town for the festivities.

Tim has been working so hard tilling up our garden area, he has been at it all day. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband with such a loving heart. It's because of him that I am the woman I am today.

I sure can't wait to plant all of our seeds, I have been looking forward to this day all winter. I am so enjoying turning this bit of land into a working homestead. It's a lot of work but it is so rewarding at the same time. I thank God for this piece of our pie. I call it our humble pie :)
